Marta Klara (emkasad) is an artist and a funeral concierge.

As an artist, I am drawn to the intersection of physical and digital realms. My Polish upbringing has instilled in me a deep curiosity about disappearing traditions and the possibility of parallel universes where past mythologies and contemporary technology merge in hybrid forms. In my multidisciplinary practice, I use a variety of media to create art that reflects my relationship with the world and our innate human connection to nature. I am particularly interested in exploring the transience of life through materials that are able to evolve and change. Through the use of recycling, I strive to empower a sense of coherence with the natural cycles of our environment. It is like a system of rebirth, or a system of regeneration. I create cinematic windows into worlds that are both distant and yet intimately familiar. Disturbing but sensual. Whether through mark making, installation, or filmmaking, I strive to capture the experience that reflects the layered and sensory reality we share.
